My Experience
I’ve been lucky enough to have a career in digital that spans over 22+ years (and counting). From my first foray into the industry as a Media Marketing Analyst, to the 16+ years I spent telling beautiful interactive stories in video games, to my time spent in the complex and dynamic world of healthcare, one thing has always remained true to me; The consumer has to be at the forefront of everything that we do digitally! Gone are the days of thinking you know what consumers want, releasing a product and finding out that you were wrong about it. The cost is just too great, the competition is just too fierce and the margin for error is just too slim to ignore those that are truly the decision-makers on whether or not your offerings are a success or failure. That’s where consumer-centered design techniques, lean practices and Design Thinking come in - especially when it comes to consumer experience and understanding how, when, where and why the users find value when they are interacting with your products, and subsequently, interacting with your brand.
